Overview of Course Providers and Nationwide Venues: The National Council for Exercise
and Fitness (NCEF) provide courses Nationwide. The NCEF Certificate in Exercise and
Health Fitness (C.E.H.F)-

LOCATION OVERVIEW:
1. Industry Certified Providers:
There are currently three Industry Certified Providers offering the Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness in Ireland, NCEF Head Office Education & Training (NET), Motions Training and Maltings Training.
The Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness courses offered by Certified Providers are available to applicants that meet the entry requirements for the course for which they apply. Applicants apply directly to the Certified provider. (e.g NET via NCEF Head Office, Motions or Maltings)
The Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness provided by NCEF Head Office is available at locations nationwide including Limerick (University of Limerick as a Day course or Weekend course) , Cork (Leeside Leisure as a Weekend course) and Waterford (every second year as a weekend course).
The Dublin based courses are provided by Motions Training and include UCD as a Day course, Palmerstown Sports Centre as a Weekend course and Irish Life City Centre as an evening course.
Maltings Training provide the C.E.H.F in Galway, Portlaoise and Kilkenny as a weekend/evening programmes.
The venues and programme offered e.g weekend/evening/day can vary each academic year so please refer directly to the certified provider for full details for the upcoming academic year.
2. Educational Providers:
The Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (CEHF) courses offered by Educational
Providers are NCEF Intensive courses and are specifically designed for students who
are already enrolled in a specific leisure & recreation/sports related programmes
within approved educational institutions (FETAC Level 5) e.g Institutes of Technology
and Colleges of Further Education
You MUST be a current registered student on the
required sports related programme of study. For example for the Colaiste Ide CEHF
intensive course you must be enrolled on the FETAC Sports & Leisure Management course
at Colaiste Ide or for the Galway Community College CEHF intensive course you must
be enrolled on the FETAC Level 5 Recreation Studies Course at Galway PLC, Moinin
na Giseach.
