Q6. Are the NCEF Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (CEHF ) and the Diploma in Exercise & Health Fitness (DEHF) qualifications accepted both nationally and internationally?

The University of Limerick is a nationally and internationally recognised university with legal and statutory rights to make educational awards as approved by its authorities. The Certificate and Diploma in Exercise & Health Fitness are officially awarded an accredited by the University of Limerick.The National Council for Exercise & Fitness is an academic affiliate of the University of Limerick (UL) offering the only university accredited Health Fitness Instructor qualification in Ireland. Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness and Diploma  in Exercise and Health Fitness qualifications are awarded at Levels 6 & 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

International Recognition: The NCEF Certificate (CEHF) and Diploma in Exercise and Health Fitness (DEHF) qualifications are awarded at Levels 5 & 6 on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

NCEF received accredited by the European Health Fitness Association (EHFA)in October 2009. EHFA is the EU approved industry standards setting body for the European health and fitness sector. NCEF qualifications are therefore aligned to the following EHFA standards:

• Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (CEHF) is aligned to EQF Level 3 Fitness Instructor and EQF Level 3 Group Fitness Instructor

The Personal Training module of the Diploma in Exercise and Health Fitness (DEHF) is aligned to EQF Level 4 Personal Trainer.

Q7. I have recently completed the Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (CEHF ) when can I access my results?

The NCEF Head Office will issue a Status Report on the NCEF website if it is more than 6 weeks before the Offficial University of Limerick results are available (UL results are available in June & Spetmber depending on when you cpmpleted your CEHF Module 10 final Assessments. Your course coordinator will be able to clarify this for you)

This Status Report will state if further action is required such as repeat Module 10 Final Written or Practical Assessment.

Please note: These are NOT your official University of Limerick (UL) results. Your official results are only available on the UL website in either late June 2010 or late September 2010 depending on when you completed your Final Summative Assessment Examinations. Q8. I have recently completed the Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (CEHF ) when will I receive my official University of Limerick Certificate?

The Official UL Certificate will be available at the graduation ceremony which takes in UL in August (if you received your results in June) or in January (if you received your results in September). Please note if you do not attend graduation then the University of Limerick will post the certificates to you 6-8 weeks after graduation. Please ensure we have your correct postal address on file if you have changed details at any stage during the course. For more information on graduation please click here.
