CONTINUING EDUCATION- Progress your fitness instructor qualification to Diploma or Degree
If you hold the Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (or equivalent) then continue your education by  completing the Diploma/B.Sc in Exercise and Health Fitness NFQ Level 7/8. The purpose of  the Diploma/B.Sc is to provide an opportunity for aspiring exercise & health fitness professionals to follow a pathway from Certificate, to Diploma to Degree by  accumulating European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits on a stage by stage basis.

Stage 2: Health Related Activity for Children.

 

This is a Specialist Module in Stage 2 of the B.Sc. in Exercise & Health Fitness. Applicants who choose the Diploma/B.Sc. programme may take this module as one of their options.

 


Recognition: 15 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits towards the Diploma/B.Sc. in Exercise & Health Fitness.  The Diploma/B.Sc. are awarded by the University of Limerick and are placed at Level 7/8 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and Level 6 on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

 

Aim:

The aim of this Specialist Module is to enable participants to gain a specialist qualification in planning and leading safe, enjoyable and effective health related activity sessions to children aged 4-12 years. It is envisaged that these physical activity programmes will take place in gyms, leisure centres and in community environments such as After- School Centres and Summer Camps.
