CONTINUING EDUCATION- Progress your fitness instructor qualification to Diploma (DEHF)
If you hold the Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (or equivalent) then continue your education by  completing the Diploma in Exercise and Health Fitness (DEHF) NFQ Level 7. The purpose of  the DEHF is to provide an opportunity for aspiring exercise & health fitness professionals to follow a pathway from certificate at NFQ Level 6 to diploma at NFQ Level 7 by  accumulating European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits on a stage by stage basis.

STRAND 1 TUTOR EDUCATION STAGE 3 (DEHF)  Application Procedure

In order for your application form to be processed for entry onto stage 3 of the DEHF please submit a copy of your official Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (CEHF) and Stage 2 Modular results, detailed CV, two written references,  the generic application and OFA certificate (along with all required documentation- please refer to the entry requirements section for information on the required documentation) to the NCEF Head Office Office.

Applications can be completed online or alternatively you can download the application form and post to the NCEF Head Office, F.A.O Jessica O’ Donnell, PESS Building, University of Limerick, Limerick

Fees:
Current NNR Members: €2645.00. A Deposit of: €900.00 on acceptance. 2nd Instalment of: €1500.00 due a minimum of one week prior to programme commencement date and the balance of €245.00 due before the second contact weekend.
Non-NNR Members: €2675.00 A Deposit of: €900.00 on acceptance. 2nd Instalment of: €1500.00 due a minimum of one week prior to programme commencement date and the balance of €275.00 due before the second contact weekend.
Please note that once students commence the programme all fees paid are non refundable.

Application Procedure Summary:

1. Application form and copy of your official results/official certificates, CV, written references and OFA certificate to NCEF Head Office (available online or on request)

2. For applicants that do not hold the entry requirements please submit a Portfolio of Learning (POL) with application form (POL’s are available from NCEF Head Office on request. A cost of €125 applies to all Portfolio of Learning applicants however if successful this fee is then deducted from the cost of overall programme fees. Please submit RPL fee with initial application.

3. If you fulfil all the entry criteria then you will be invited to attend for interview.

4. Successful interview applicants will then submit the completed acceptance forms and required documentation and €900 deposit to head office by the deadline date given in the acceptance pack.
